Happy Birthday Granny Pearl

Well, Granny Pearl had another birthday in July.  We made it up to Lawton to visit for the weekend.  She was in (mostly) good spirits.  We took Whitney with us to visit one day.  That was a fun trip with the three boys.  I love the looks on everyone’s faces in the group picture.  It is a very good representation of that day.

Gabriel enjoyed the car ride with the big boys.

I’m not sure what was going on in the back seat, but I’m sure Noah was teaching Whitney something VERY important.

Best Quote of the Day

Noah says, “Daddy, will you work us some more money so we can go to Beaches?”

Fiesta Texas 2010

Again, I’m a bit late, but I’ll finish up the vacation posts nonetheless.  We wrapped up our 4th of July holiday week with a trek to Fiesta Texas in San Antonio.  (Noah has been begging to go for a year now.)  Gigi and Grandpa were able to go with us, too, which made it all the more fun.

Grandpa even went on his first upside-down roller coaster ever.  Of course, I didn’t tell him it went upside down until AFTER we were already strapped in and there was no turning back.  You should have seen the picture of him in the middle of the ride….

The boys both took a spin on the teacups.  We were all smiles until the very end when Gabriel just about hurled.

We stayed all the way through the fireworks show they do at the end.  We had a blast — great way to end the vacation.

Upgraded Computer

For my birthday, Chris and the boys upgraded my computer.  I have to say, I knew my computer was slow, but I had no idea HOW slow.  It’s always nice to join the land of normal people.

Thanks boys!

Graf Ranch Trip

We also took a week-long trip to the Graf Ranch. It had been WAY too long since we had been out there, and as usual, my parents have kept things immaculate as ever.

Grandpa prepared an hour-by-hour itinerary for us, which included things such as fireworks, canoe rides, hiking down the river, feeding the livestock, and seeing exotic game ranches. We even squeezed in a little auto repair (if you’ve seen Robyn’s side view mirror, you’ll know what I’m talking about). We all had a blast.

The panoramic picture was taken right off the back deck — it really looks like you’re sitting there.

Vocalist in the Family

We’ve been trying to capture Gabriel’s singing on camera for a few weeks now.  We finally did it.  This is his rendition of “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.”

4th of July at the Williams Ranch

Well, we’re super late at getting some pictures posted from our 4th of July vacation, but here they are nonetheless.  Our first stop was to the Williams Ranch.  Couldn’t be a 4th of July weekend without some swimming and tractor rides.   We also took an excursion to Natural Bridge Caverns.  Pretty neat stuff — 200 feet below the surface.
