Went to Canyon Lake today with Steve and Jalyn, and Noah tried water skiing for the first time ever. Robyn made sure he knew to hang on to the rope, and then when we started the boat, he proceeded to… hang on to the rope. Most kids let go when they fall. Not my son. Watch the video.
Anyway, we coaxed him through the traumatism to try one more time. He didn’t get up, but we’ve got all summer to practice.
Gabriel thoroughly enjoyed throwing watermelon and riding the tube. We have a suspicion he might be the daredevil of our family.
Got a little rain today, and it gave us perfect weather for dinner in the backyard. Gabriel lately has taken to singing his bedtime songs. We tried to catch it on camera, but he wasn’t too cooperative. Of course, just after I stopped the video he started singing…
At Lifetime Fitness they have a rock wall, and you have to be 5 years old to climb. So the week after Noah turned 5 we headed up to have some rock climbing fun. He did pretty well for his first time. As you can see, he made it all the way to the top of the first section. Maybe next time he’ll make it past the ridge. When we started yesterday I was just going to let him climb. But he was having so much fun that I wanted to get in on the action too. So I suited up and headed up. All in all, we both had a great time.
Sandy and I went to New Mexico for a week to visit the newest Graf family member… Brayden Bradley Graf. He is so cute. Sadly, he’s got a slight case of having his days and nights mixed up. Poor Ryan and Erin! While we were there we worked on a fun project. We put together a nursery for the baby. The coloring on some of the pictures is off, but I think you’ll get the point. The walls are not pink or purple or any other weird color. We made quite of few things…

the only things we didn’t make were the queen size bedspread and sheets.
We had a blast working on all the stuff… I’m just glad we got it all done.
Gabriel ran around the house with ski goggles on for about 20 minutes last night. It was most definitely entertaining — I’m surprised he tolerated them for so long. We snapped a few pictures.
Well, my brother has decided to sell his house. So my mom and I have spent the better part of a month getting his house ready to go on the market. Here are some pictures of the end result. I hope you like them.
