Memories

I have been getting some video off of tapes and putting it on the computer tonight.  Most of it was from Christmas 2006.  Noah was 21 months old at the time.  It is AMAZING how much he’s changed since then.  He actually looks the same (only bigger now), but his personality is completely different.  At that time, he hadn’t really started talking yet.  He had code words for everything.  He got a remote control 4-wheeler for Christmas and I was reminded that he used to call 4-wheelers wuh-wuh’s.  His sign language for “please” looked more like the universal choking sign with his hand on his neck.  And his “thank-you” looked very much like he was blowing you a kiss.  The most notable difference is really the volume level.  Noah was so quite and sweet in the videos.  For those of you who’ve spent any time around Noah in the last year, you’ll know that quiet is not a word that could describe him now.  But he’s still my sweet boy (most of the time).

The Big Game

The time came again for the annual rivalry between Robyn and Steve.  We went to the basketball game, and the Horns pulled through (ending their horrible losing streak)  Despite the Pokes’ loss, we ALL managed to have a great time.  Gabriel really seemed to enjoy the game.  The loud noise didn’t bother him like it did Noah at this age.  He never cried, but every time an eruption of sound happened he would shake all over.  He’s like an Elmo doll.  I thought I was being rather sensitive to Cowboy’s feelings by letting Gabriel wear an OSU bib.  Of course I took it off before the end of the game.  Gabriel needed to show his true colors.  After all, his name is Gabriel.

Class Photo

Noah’s 3 Year Class had their photo for the year.  They did great!  Can you imagine getting 10 three year olds to all look at the camera and smile pretty at the same time.  I’m impressed.

Hot Stuff

Gabriel is turning into such a big boy.  He got to ride in the cart for the first time at Home Depot yesterday.  He did great and only tipped over a few times.

Big Boy Baths

Noah loves to play in the bathtub.  He always wants to stay in “a few more minutes.”

Goofy boy

Gabriel likes the bath too.  He just discovered that he can chew on his washcloth.  Boy did he like that.

New TV

Sorry I haven’t posted in a while.  We haven’t been doing too many exciting things.  We did get a new TV for our living room about a week ago though.  Ken came over to help move everything around.  That was very nice of him, because I don’t think I could have gotten our old entertainment center up the stairs.  We now have a 52″ HDTV in our living room (yes, we finally caught up with the times), and our old TV moved upstairs.
