Noah started swim lessons again today. He took 8 lessons earlier in the summer with his friend Kaiden, and he made it “all the way” to Station 2. As you can see in the picture, there are 10 stations. We practiced during the summer and he got more comfortable in the water. Today he started over at Station 1, and he made it to Station 3. His teacher said he was a good listener today, and he even floated on his back by himself which is something they work on at Station 4. He’ll be swimming before we know it. Oh by the way… I highly recommend taking swimming lessons any time besides the summer. You get a private lesson for the price of group lessons.

Noah and Ma made a spooky Halloween gingerbread house this weekend. It was lots of fun. If you ask Noah he’ll be sure and tell you that it’s not a spooky house, it’s a beautiful house. And let me point out the water hose on the left side of the house. Noah made sure to include that so the people who live in the house can water their grass and their garden. How thoughtful.

Before the game Noah decided to give his prediction for the outcome. I think he might have been on to something. Notice Gabriel was paying close attention. I’m sure he’ll have the hang of it in no time.

Ma, Noah, Gabriel, and Mama spent one day last week doing a little shopping and decided to stop for a ride in the carriage. Don’t we all look like Cinderella getting ready to ride away in our pumpkin coach?

Granny Pearl has four great-grandchildren and one on the way. Of the four she currently has, three of them are boys. Here are some pictures of Granny with her “Boys”. As it turns out, it’s not easy to get a one month old, a 23 month old, and a 3 1/2 year old to sit pretty for a picture, not to mention Granny herself.

While we were in Frederick, Noah got to spend some time with his cousin Whitney. Whitney will be 2 in November. Boy was it fun playing with him. They ran around and around Granny Pearl’s house. And of course, Noah had to give Whitney some big brother lessons on how to be gentle with Gabriel.

Noah, Gabriel, and Mama went on a trip to Frederick, OK to visit family and friends. It was Gabriel’s first trip out of Austin, and he did great. We spent the night in San Marcos on Tuesday night, and then on Wednesday morning we were off to Oklahoma. We went with Cowboy and Ma. Cowboy was amazed (not in a good way) at how long it takes to get anywhere with an infant and a toddler. He claims that we broke the record for the longest grip to Frederick, Oklahoma EVER. Apparently, he has a lot to learn.

Uncle Frank has bad timing. As soon as we got Gabriel loaded up and ready to go, Frank was ready to hold the baby. This was all Mama was willing to do after all the trouble of loading into the carseat.
