Noah had his very first basketball game this morning. We started this sport out with a bang… team pictures at 7:20 am. I’m pretty sure that watching beginner basketball is one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen. It started with a tip off where the kid jumped up, grabbed the ball, and started running down the court without dribbling. It continued in that light. Noah is putting a lot of effort into doing the right things. He’s almost always the first one down the floor to play defense. His shooting skills need a little practice. I guess we’ll have to get a basketball goal at our house. Enjoy the video.
I had Gabriel’s Halloween pictures taken today and thought I would post some comparison pictures. Gabriel is 3 and Noah is 2 1/2 in the pictures. Aren’t they cute little band members?
We had a great birthday party for Gabriel at the Dahlia Café in Liberty Hill. Gabriel invited Noah, his friends Kase, Dalton, Abby, Josh, and his cousin Camy.
Ma had fun chasing the kids around. And Kase was fashionable as always.
The adults had a nice time visiting. The kids had a great time playing in the rocks. We have no idea who the boy in the blue striped shirt is, but he had fun at the birthday party too!
There was fun to be had swinging. And dancing… lots of dancing!
I had to work last night, and this is what I came home to. Apparently, while I was at work they cleaned the playroom. It must have been so hard that it wore them out. It was REALLY messy.
Noah is back to school! He seems to really like his new teacher. Her name is Mrs. Haught (Hot). The funny part is that her maiden name was Miss Young. So she’s been Young and Haught. Noah is excited because this year he gets math homework and has spelling tests.
Gabriel enjoyed Noah’s first day of school too. He got to have muffins at the Kleenex party.
Gabriel started sleeping in his big boy bed on January 28. It only took a week for him to figure out that he could get out of the bed and not call for a parent. It has really gone very well with very few nighttime adventures.
Kermit retired in December after many long years of working. Having achieved world domination in global oil production with his reservoir modeling software he decided it was finally time to ride off into the sunset. And Sandy packed away her stenograph for good this year. The boys threw them a surprise retirement party, and a good time was had by all. They were both surprised and floated around all night with smiles glued to their faces.
